This inaugural annual regional conference aims to help financial institutions understand the issues that
would help them build an effective anti-money laundering (AML) regime. The guest-of-honour is Mr.

Rick Small, Director of Global AML, Citigroup
Rick is Citigroup's top worldwide anti-money laundering officer in New York. Previously, he
served as the Federal Reserve Board's top money laundering control official and, for twelve years,
as a key member of the U.S. anti-money laundering regulatory regimen. He was influential in the
development of the nation's anti-money laundering and bank examination policies. He is a member of
the advisory board for the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists, USA.

Michael Levi, Professor at Cardiff University, UN Consultant
Michael has been professor of criminology at Cardiff University since 1991. His major research
contributions for governments, international organisations (the UN) and the private sector have been
in the fields of white-collar crime and corruption, organised crime, money laundering and violent
crime, and he is scientific expert on organised crime to the Council of Europe and the UK's academic
representative to the Falcone Research Committee of the European Union. He has also carried out a
variety of studies on the prevention of fraud and organised crime. He has written a number of books
and research reports.

Rick McDonell, Head, Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering Secretariat
Rick has been the Head of the APG since its creation. Rick is a lawyer specialising in
criminal law. He has worked with a Government appointed special commission into certain aspects
of organised crime and has worked as a Federal prosecutor. Immediately prior to his present position
he worked for three years as National Coordinator of Investigations for Australia's National Crime
Authority which is a specialised agency for national coordinated investigations into organised
crime.

Muralidharan Pillai, Partner, Allen & Gledhill, Singapore
Murali is a Partner with Allen & Gledhill and specialises in litigation and dispute resolution.
His principal areas of practice encompass criminal litigation, general commercial litigation, employment
law, property litigation and insolvency. As counsel, he has been involved in several landmark civil
and criminal cases in the Supreme Court of Singapore and has considerable expertise in the area of
high-profile white collar crime trials. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Murali served as an Assistant
Superintendent of Police in the Singapore Police Force, primarily conducting criminal investigations
relating to large-scale syndicated crime. Murali was called to the Singapore Bar and joined Allen &
Gledhill in 1996.

Richard Price, Partner, Shearman and Sterling, Singapore
Richard is a U.S. capital markets partner of Shearman & Sterling and has extensive experience
in representing both issuers and underwriters in a wide range of international corporate finance
transactions. He has overseen investment grade debt, high-yield debt and equity offerings by issuers
in a wide range of industries. His practice includes providing advice to corporate clients regarding
U.S. federal securities laws, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and other corporate
matters and frequently speaks on U.S. securities law issues, international corporate finance
transactions and corporate governance matters. Richard has also sat on the Competitiveness Working
Group Committee of the Stock Exchange of Singapore and the Corporate Governance Committee of the
Government of Singapore.

Dominic Nixon, Asia Head for AML, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Dominic is the Asia Head for AML and the Chairman of the Financial Risk Management practice
in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Dominic has been with the firm for over 22 years. Dominic has
been involved with a broad range of financial services-related mergers and acquisitions services,
including loan portfolio sales, securitisations, target evaluations, industry strategic assessments,
business and financial due diligence, accounting and tax structure, and AML reviews. Dominic is
spearheading the development and marketing of AML products throughout Asia.

Alan Abel, Americas Head for AML, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Alan is the Americas Head for AML. Alan has worked with the governments of 30 countries and
jurisdictions to evaluate and assist their money laundering detection and deterrence efforts. Alan
led the first money laundering vulnerability assessment of the Caribbean Region for the Organization
of American States (OAS / CICAD) and the G-7 OECD Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the world's
anti-money laundering watchdog organization, and issued a PricewaterhouseCoopers report that has
received wide recognition in the Region, the U.S. and Europe. Alan is a member of the U.S. Treasury
Department's Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group (BSAAG).

Rohan Bedi, Head of AML Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore
Rohan is the Head of AML Services of PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore. He was a line banker with
thirteen years of work-experience across Asia.
He has a passion for AML and is involved with all aspects of the subject from
research, consultancy, software, training, and other thought leadership
activities. He is the author of a number of articles on the subject published both locally and in
leading Asian newspapers, magazines, and International publications. Rohan is widely regarded as an
Asia AML expert and his opinions on AML issues are sought after by the media and by
regulators. He is the author of the PwC publication "Money Laundering - Controls and Prevention".

Elizabeth Goodbody, Head of AML Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Indonesia
Elizabeth is the Head of AML Services for PwC Indonesia. She specialises in the areas of
forensic accounting in anti-money laundering and fraud investigations plus fraud and anti money
laundering prevention and control. She was also the Director in charge of the KYC Banking Compliance
Review, Indonesia (2002) which involved review and comment on the extent of compliance with Know Your
Customer (KYC) and Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) and related AML requirements in Indonesia
by the regulator (Bank Indonesia) and commercial banks.

Mahboob Mahmood, CEO Knowledge Platform, Singapore, eminent Asian lawyer
Mahboob is the CEO of Knowledge Platform from 2000. He was formerly a partner at the
international law firm of Sidley, Austin Brown & Wood where during 11 years he handled with corporate
finance transactions in the firm's New York office. Mahboob has broad industry experience and has been
lead counsel for complex transactions in the financial services, high tech, telecommunications,
utilities and transportation sectors with an aggregate transaction value in excess of $15 billion.
In 1998 and 1999, the International Financial Law Review selected Mahboob as one of Asia's leading
lawyers.

Michael J Thomas, Group CEO, STB Software Systems, UK
Michael is a member of the founding team of STB Systems from 1985, and is now Group CEO of the
company, which specialises in software solutions to address compliance issues in the financial markets.
He has previously worked in the fields of systems security with Chemical Bank and computer audit with
Chase Manhattan. Whilst leading STB's international expansion, with offices now in London, New York,
Hong Kong and Singapore, he remains close to the business issues surrounding financial compliance and
anti money laundering in particular. He has a deep understanding of the application of IT as a part
of an institution's overall anti money laundering programme, and is frequently quoted in leading
international publications, as well as appearing on CNBC-Asia.

Nigel Morris-Cotterill, Counter-Money Laundering Strategist, The Anti Money Laundering Network
Nigel is a leading counter-money laundering strategist and heads The Anti Money Laundering
Network. He is editor in chief of World Money Laundering Report and its associated information
services, he had the idea that became Risk Values, a profiling tool to identify those with the
predilection to commit financial crime and he has been providing training to bankers and others
since 1994. He is a Solicitor in practice in England but lives and works in Kuala Lumpur.

Kevin Zervos, Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Department of Justice and Head of Criminal Appeals Unit, Hong Kong SAR
Kevin is a specialist in the prosecution of white collar crime.
In 1984, he worked in Australia with the Special Prosecutor's office responsible for the investigation
and prosecution of large scale revenue frauds. From 1985, he was Senior Assistant Director of the
office of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions at the Melbourne and Sydney Offices where
he was in charge of the Major Fraud Section. From 1989 to 1992, he was General Counsel to the
Independent Commission Against Corruption in New South Wales. Kevin has conducted the full ambit
of trials and appeals in the commercial crime field, including credit card and currency frauds, banking
and corporate frauds, infringement of intellectual property, money laundering and corruption. He has
presented numerous papers and given talks on the subject of commercial crime and has recently prosecuted
some high profile money laundering cases.

Terence Leung, Superintendent In-charge of the joint Financial Intelligence Unit, Hong Kong Police Force
Terence joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1983. He has worked extensively in wide range of
criminal investigations including criminal intelligence, commercial crime and financial investigation.
Terence is the head of the Financial Investigation Division of the Narcotics Bureau and also in charge
of the operation of the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit. He has been involved in supervising
asset recovery and money laundering investigations, setting policy on anti-money laundering, training
of financial investigators, giving lectures to financial sectors and professions, ensuring effective
running of JFIU.
