Stephen R. Finch

Finch has a total of 21 years of working experience, of which 17 years were in banking. He started his banking career with Citibank, NA in New York and subsequently moved to Asia. During his stay at Citicorp, he has worked in countries like USA, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore. In Citicorp, he has taken various roles, such as marketing of commodity derivatives, structured finance, re-engineered business process, equity and debt underwriting, securitisation, commercial paper dealing, equity brokerage, investment management, securities research and strategic planning. He was with the Citicorp Group for 13 years before his appointment with ANZ Investment Bank.

At ANZ Investment Bank, he was responsible for all customers fund raising activities in the region including syndicated lending, fixed income securities and securitisation.

Finch heads DBS Bank's Debt Capital Markets since Jan 2000. A leading player in the Singapore Dollar Bond Market, Debt Capital Markets is responsible for the origination, development and structuring of debt, debt-equity linked and quasi-debt capital market instruments both domestically and regionally.

An American, Finch holds a MBA from Harvard Business School, USA and a Bachelor of Science (Geography) from Texas A&M University, USA.
