Christina Lam

Christina Lam, Director, is head of the Euroclear Bank Representative Office in Hong Kong and is responsible for managing relationships with Euroclear's clients in northern Asia, excluding Japan. Ms. Lam has been active in the financial industry for over 20 years. In addition to sales and marketing, she has significant experience in project implementation, training, relationship management and product management. She joined Euroclear in 2000.

Ms. Lam started her career in 1979 as Area Co-ordinator for north Asia with S.W.I.F.T. in Hong Kong. She successfully implemented S.W.I.F.T. systems and provided training for over 300 financial institutions in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, and the Philippines.

In 1988, she joined Chase Manhattan Bank as Vice President, supervising the correspondent banking unit in Hong Kong and successfully promoting STP for international money transfers in the market. In 1994, she moved to Citibank as Senior Relationship Manager for institutional investors, covering securities processing, cash management and global treasury services. After four years in this role, she moved to The Bank of New York to take responsibility for custodian business development.

Ms. Lam has been a member of the Association for Financial Professionals in New York since 1997. She is also an active IPO/STP sub-committee member of the Industry Standardisation for Institutional Trade Communication (ISITC) group in Hong Kong, promoting best practices in the securities industry for straight-through processing.
