Yong-Kyoon Shin

Dr. Shin is the Executive Vice President of Korea Asset Management Corporation, a sole government agency for managing and disposing the distressed assets acquiring from financial institutions in Korea. During his tenor in KAMCO, he made efforts in introducing various financing sales approaches and improving regulatory framework for NPL resolution.

Dr. Shin has a distinguished background in both business and academics. Previously, Dr. Shin was the Chairman of Korea ABS, MBS & REITS Society and has also taught at Business School of Yonsei University. As the Chairman of Korea ABS, MBS & REITS Society, Dr. Shin was one of the pioneers of introducing and developing ABS & MBS market in Korea.

Prior to his assignment, he was Senior Vice President of Hyundai Investment Trust & Securities Company, responsible for Risk Management and Planning its mid & long term strategies.

Dr. Shin received his Ph. D. in Economics from University of Toulouse in France. And, he graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration from Yonsei University.
