Kenneth Kwan
Director of Asset Securitization Group Standard Chartered Bank
Kenneth is a Director of Asset Securitization Group at SCB based in Singapore, whose
main responsibilities are to support origination, structuring and transaction execution for
the Group in the South East Asia region.
Kenneth is among the founding team members who established the Asian securitization
business for Standard Chartered Bank. The team, 5 years after its establishment, has
built a very strong franchise and is now the recognized leader in the Asian securitization
market, winning "Securitization House of the Year" awards three years in a row, in 2005,
2006 and 2007 from The Asset and many more awards and accolades from various
magazines for its ground breaking securitization deals in Asia.
Kenneth has strong experience in the origination, structuring and execution of many
pioneer deals in the Asian markets, including first RMBS in China, first Thai ABS since
Asian crisis, first AAA rated Korean ABS without wrap, first CMBS in Singapore with
concurrent IPO closing, etc, not to mention that he has countless contribution to the
development of the securitization in the markets he covered.
Prior to joining the bank, Kenneth was previously with Bank of America in its Asian
Securitization Team. Prior to Bank of America, Kenneth was working in GE Capital where
he focused on the financial planning and analysis and operations of GE Capitalˇ¦s
consumer business in Hong Kong and South Korea.
Ken received a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting & Finance,
from the University of Hong Kong in 1997 and also holds a Master of Business
Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
